We are running a special Sock Knitting Class in April!
During the Yarn Crawl you can pick up the perfect Sock Set from the teacher, Olivia of Speckle & Friends. She is also the dyer! Choose one of her Sleek Sock yarns and a mini (the Speckle & the Friend).
Olivia is one of our teachers here at Black Squirrel Yarns and loves knitting socks so much she wanted to teach others her favorite sock knitting method. She is also hosting a sock-a-long. More info on that HERE.
She will be teaching a toe-up, short row sock knit on magic loop.
In the sock class, you will be making 1 small decorative sock which you should be able to finish in the duration of the class. This will teach you all the skills needed to complete a full pair of toe-up socks.
You will also receive the free pattern (which will guide you through the small sock and socks for your foot size) written by Olivia.
This class is a single session class, not a series of classes. You will only need to take one class.

Short row heel
Picking up stitches
Stretchy cast-off
Gauge for socks
All about different styles of socks!
Ongoing support is always available in the store at any time during our open hours. If you want more extensive help, we can arrange private lessons. You are also welcome to come to Stitch & Bitch on Thursday evenings where there is usually casual help available (and a lot of fun!).
Cancelations/refunds: If for whatever reason you want to withdraw from a class, please do so at least 48 hours before the scheduled start time of the class for a full refund. No-shows and cancellations less than 48 hours in advance of the class start time are not eligible for a refund. Please respect the teacher and your fellow students by not attending class if you are feeling sick or have had a known recent Covid exposure, even if it is within the 48-hour non-refundable window.
